Edge Node IP67

A sealed mini Linux computer for industrial sites. Two M12 connectors for power and Ethernet, an Arm Cortex-A7 running open Linux, and field updates over the network so the enclosure never has to be opened.

Key features

Built to be mounted and forgotten

Everything an installer touches is on the outside. Everything a developer needs is reachable over the network.

IP67 sealed design

IP66/IP67 certified polycarbonate enclosure with a cast gasket, IP67 M12 connectors and sealed panel indicators.

Screw-locking M12

A-coded M12 for 5 V DC power and D-coded M12 for 10/100 Ethernet. Standard industrial cordsets, no exposed RJ45.

Open embedded Linux

Choose a lean Yocto image or Debian 13 with apt. Root access over SSH, your services, your packages.

Safe field updates

A/B system partitions with rollback and signed update bundles. Your applications and data survive every update.

Status you can see

A green POWER LED driven by hardware and a three-colour STATUS LED that your application controls.

Install with the lid closed

External mounting lugs with four Ø5 mm holes and two keyholes. Fanless, no moving parts.

Options

Configure it for your project

The base unit is Ethernet only. Add the interfaces and services your installation needs.

RS-485 and CAN

Fieldbus interfaces for Modbus RTU meters, drives and controllers.

GPIO

Digital inputs and outputs for contacts, alarms and simple actuators.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE

Wireless connectivity where running a cable is not practical.

9 to 32 V DC input

Protected wide-input power stage for 12 V and 24 V industrial supplies.

Factory image

Your Linux image, or our standard image with your applications, installed and tested before shipping.

Cables and private label

Pre-assembled M12 power and Ethernet cordsets, custom nameplate and branding.

Typical applications

Where the Edge Node IP67 fits

Machine data stays on the machine

Mount the node on the frame, collect and log data locally and forward it over MQTT or HTTP.

OT and IT networks speak different protocols

Run protocol conversion on the node, for example Modbus to MQTT or OPC UA, close to the equipment.

Raw sensor data is too much to send

Pre-process and filter on the edge for condition monitoring, and send only what matters.

No cabinet space in wet or dusty areas

Install a sealed Linux device directly in washdown, outdoor or dusty zones.

Remote sites in energy, water and infrastructure

Place a fanless node at pump stations, substations or plant rooms on the existing site network.

IIoT pilots and asset retrofits

Start with a small batch of open devices and scale without changing platform.

FAQ

Edge Node IP67: frequently asked questions

01Which Linux distributions are supported?

Two images share the same boot and update layout: a lean Yocto image and Debian 13 (armhf) with access to the full apt archive. Both use A/B updates with rollback.

02How do I deploy my application?

Over Ethernet with SSH, as on any Linux machine, or packaged as a .deb that is kept and reinstalled across system updates. Your data lives on a separate persistent partition.

03Does it have RS-485 or Wi-Fi?

The base model 5V-IP67-ETH is Ethernet only. RS-485, CAN, GPIO and Wi-Fi with Bluetooth LE are available as hardware options.

04What power supply do I need?

The base model takes a regulated 5 V DC supply of at least 1 A through the M12 A-coded connector. For 12 V or 24 V supplies, choose the protected 9 to 32 V input option.

05What is the availability?

Pilot units are available now. Ingress testing of the finished unit and the CE conformity assessment are part of the production release. Contact us for pilot quantities and lead times.
